The Patient Voices Group
Thank you for visiting. The Patient Voices Group was established in 2010 and currently has Trustees, an elected Chair and an “e-membership” of patients from across Lancashire. We are always happy to welcome new members, and anyone can become a member of the Patient Voices Group. (Details on how to join can be found below)
All members of the PVG are UNPAID Volunteers, each focused on becoming a critical friend to all PATIENTS and to those agencies who provide Health and Social Care services. We try to capture and champion the views of patients. In 2018 The PVG became a small charity, and its’ Board is made up of TRUSTEES (local patients) who meet quarterly and who regularly carry out Patient Engagement, scrutinise Health Service Delivery and attend meetings on behalf of the Patients of Lancashire.
Members of the PVG have ignored their own personal and individual health problems and continue to work tirelessly as team, unafraid of challenging the status quo – acting as a Critical Friend to all those who work in and have cause to use Health services, including The Care Quality Commission, Local Councils, Clinical Commissioning Groups, Healthwatch and Hospital Trusts. Our Chair regularly has 1 to 1 meetings with Trusts and Healthwatch to share compliments comments and concerns.
Would you be interested in making a real difference to Health Care services both locally and Nationally? Would you be willing to let us contact you, occasionally, by phone, text or email, to seek YOUR views on those who provide our Health and Social Care? Have you experiences you would like to share with us? Then please get in touch. We would love to hear from you.
If you are interested in becoming an “e-member” of the PVG and contributing to our agenda, then please contact us for further information. Thank you for your interest
